Kevin jumped from his seat to try and catch her but he wasn't quick enough and even though she seemed to be ok her glass fell and shattered. He could see the problem before it happened and tried to stop it but it didn't happen. The scent and sight of blood washed over him and it took an extreme effort to keep from reverting to his hunting self.

"You ok?". He asked gently as he got up and looked around for something to cover the small wound to push from his mind.

"Oh yeah. Im fine." Amy examined her finger closely. "Its not that deep." She sucked the blood and took it out. Kevin's reaction wasn't a normal one to her. He looked like he was trying to avoid looking at her, like he was disappointed she was so clumsy.

"Im sorry." Amy spoke softly from her place on the ground.

Kevin physically jerked as he turned and against better judgement moved over and knelt down besides Amy.

"There's nothing be sorry for." He said softly as he tilted her head up so he could see her face. "It was an accident, no harm, no foul."

Gently he lifted her hand and looked at the wound. Like she'd said it wasn't deep but it was one of those cuts that bled and bled for no reason. He brought the wounded finger to his lips and cleaned away the crimson drop; the heady taste spreading across his tongue. He reluctantly pulled the finger from his mouth then and kissed the cut before smiling slightly.

"All better now?"

Amy watched as Kevin put her finger close to him. She smiled slightly "Much better." She just looked at him.It wasn't everyday someone just sucked the blood from her cuts. It was an odd thing to do. Amy looked into his eyes, those eyes that seemed like they could see her even if she hide, before leaning forward and kissing him softly. She pulled away blushing, "Sorry. Your really hard not to want to kiss." Amy bit her lip looking at him hoping it was ok.

Kevin grinned and pulled her close, brushing his lips over her before pulling away slowly and standing. The tiny taste of her blood had his body into a primal tail spin and it was extremely hard for him to keep his gentleman mentality about him.

"I know the feeling." He murmured huskily. "I'm going go now Amy before I do something I know I'll regret and then you'll hate me."

Standing after him Amy nodded. "Thats probably a good idea." She walked to the door and opened it for Kevin. After a mumbled good night Amy went back to her room and looked around. The window was open and her room was messier than it should be. Amy put on her pajama's and crawled into bed before laying on her side and looking out of the window. Even with him gone Kevin still plagued her thoughts.

Eventually Amy gave up and went out onto the fire escape. In her tank top and shorts it was a little chilly but nice. And there she sat looking at the sky wondering what Kevin was doing. Shaking her head Amy got ride of the thoughts of what it would be like to just sleep with him next to her. Just sleep, nothing more.

Restlessly Kevin roamed his apartment, his eyes darting here and there. Every little noise made him jump and after glaring into the darkness for a full minute he grabbed his leather coat and stealthily let himself out of his apartment and moved down the hall and out of the building.

He needed to feed, that small taste of Amy's blood was driving him insane and he had to take the edge off before he really did do something that he's regret. Pickings were slim so he spend a few hours bar hopping until he found an appropriate canidate. He snatched the falling down drunk gentleman and drug him out back of the bar and without a second thought he bit, drinking deeply until the man slumped against him.

Finally sated he let the man fall and after cleaning his face he disappeared into the shadows, arriving back at home mere moments later.

Eventually reasoning with herself Amy went inside and back to her bed. One thing that bugged her about big beds were that they were huge and empty. Not always empty but usually with her they were. Most nights she enjoyed it. Amy thought she heard foot steps in the hall but shook them off as her just wanting to hear a sign of Kevin.

Falling into a deep sleep Amy dreamed of a party. An old fashion party with her in a blue silk dress and elbow high gloves.

Sleep didn't come fast for Kevin, in fact he spent the rest of the night out on his balcony watching the sky. Not that there was much to see. The dawn however forced him inside and he soon sought cover under his blankets and pillows; his mind fracturing as he finally drifted under.

Around him his dream world took shape. Dukes, Duchesses, Princesses, Kings and Queens twirled around him and his date. Her eyes sparkled as he twirled her; his hair slicked back and his great coat and breeches the finest of quality. Her dress swirled out around her as she danced and her laughter tinkled in the air as she laughed at some joke he'd made.

The dream then took a disaterous turn, some large man shoved his way between them and moved her away. Jealous he watched for a moment, nothing outward happening then than during any other dance and then it happened. She was pulling away, and then she slapped him. Insensed he stormed over and put himself between she and he; glaring at the man and telling him to shove off.

The large man growled and shoved him, sending him to the floor and then laughing as he reached for her again. Now angry beyond belief he snapped and lunged, taking the large man down and sinking his fangs in as he ripped out his throat.

Around him people screamed and ladies ran afraid for their life. Her scream brought him back to his senses and he stopped; looking up from the still twitching dead body to watch her stare at him in horror. He moved and tried to explain himself to her but the revulsion and fear were clear in her eyes as she backed away from him.

Roughly he was grabbed and carted away by guards were he was locked in the local stockads. People threw rotten food at him as they passed until he was taken for sentencing. He was found guilty; and how could he not be, there had been witnesses a plenty that watched him kill the large interloper.

As he awaited his hanging he escaped; using his shadow walking to leave the cell and get past the guards. For weeks terror swept the London Ton and he found himself on the run, hiding out in France and watching as the turn of another time period was baptized in blood.

Twitching under his covers his body was covered in a cold sweat and with a gasp he awoke, the face of his long lost lover and Amy merging together and making him shiver.

Amy woke gradually from her sleep. It was as if it was a memory and not a dream, but Amy reasoned that it was rediculous to think so. But still she couldnt shake the feeling of knowing everyone at the party and knew the jokes that they would tell her all to get her to dance. Only one held her eye though. Amy sat up in bed and leaned against then back board. A man who looked like Kevin, dressed up so nicely. With the dashing smile it was hard to destinguish the man from her dream who twirled her around the dance floor song after song, though back then it was scandolus, and the one who lived just down the hall.

It was indeed an odd dream, Amy thought to herself as she got out of bed to get ready for the day. After being out of town she had a lunch to go to with her friend Belle. Both were sisters of wrestlers and could talk about it. With a yawn she got into the shower, washing herself to full awakness. Stepping out she got dressed. Pulling on jeans and a V neck graphic shirt she fixed her hair into a messy bun. Checking around to see she missed nothing until something caught her eye. Kevin's leather jacket that he had lent her. Picking it up and brought it to her nose and breathed in the scent of him.

Smiling to herself Amy got out paper and pen deciding to leave a note. Amy wasn't sure if she would see him today because of his wrestling so she took a picture of the coat on one of the old camera's she had that developed it as it spit it out. Writting quickly she took the note, jacket picture, and her things out with her. Taping the phote to his door Amy made her way to the sun. Amy adjusted her sunglasses as she thought of what the photo said.

I have your jacket. Im holding it hostige for now until I see you. Hope you don't mind! See you sometime. Good luck tonight

The rest of his morning didn't find him well and he moved about the apartment as if in a trance. His dreams didn't usually affect him that way but this time he couldn't help it. He'd done terrible things in his past life and had lost many companions. But he'd only found love once and due to his afflcition had lost it.

After lounging on the couch for a while he grew restless and decided to take a walk. Granted during the day wasn't the best for him; his skin after years of hiding in the darkness made hit ultra sensitive and he had to slather on sun screen one every bit of exposed skin he had to avoid a burn of epic proportions.

He made sure he had his keys before shutting the door and when he seen the note and picture on his door he smiled. Amy could keep the jacket for an eternity and he wouldn't mind. As he tucked the picture and note into his pocket he frowned; thinking that he'd better off nipping this in the bud before things got too out of hand and he lost Amy due to his 'illness'.

Amy and Belle sat outside in the sun sipping thier drinks. Belle could tell something was up with Amy as she always could. Amy was spacing out often and not really paying attention to anything in general. Belle set down her sweet ice tea and looked at Amy. There was only one thing that made a girl smile like that. Belle should know because guys sometimes smiled that when they were in love. Amy had never had that look. "Who is he?" Belle questioned.

"Kevin." Amy answered softly. Without prompting Amy told Belle about him knowing she would ask. She told her about how they met, dinner, the bike ride, and at her house. Smiling she looked across the street and thought she saw Kevin. Thinking it was her imagination for a minuet before realizing it was him. she wanted to hyell out to him but contained herself. Amy did however watch him.

His mind was scattered to the wind with his thoughts as he wandered. On the one hand he wanted to be with Amy, he was defintly attracted to her that wasn't a question. But what was was whether he could trust himself with not attack her if the need to feed was too overwhelming.

The city though new was still the same; tiny mom and pop stores, big box chains, the groups of people that congregated in the different areas. Things never changed no matter the time people or rules. History repeated itself no matter what.

A sudden warmth filled him and looked up to see Amy on the other side of the street. She was watching him and nodded his head at her. He looked over at the other female that was with her but dismissed her quickly as he smiled at Amy. Without looking he crossed the street, jumping out of the way as a cab came barreling down the road. With a fist shake and shouted expletive he turned again to face Amy.

"Fancy meeting you here my lady." He murmured as he kissed Amy's hand. "Seems we are destined to keep meeting."

"It would seem that way. This is Belle." Amy said grinning with a gesture to Belle who was already standing. "I have to go meet up with the guys." Belle explained and motioned for Kevin to sit. Kissing Amy's cheek she was gone to meet with her other guy friends. In reality Belle was going to converse with her friends about him and see who he was.

Amy looked over at Kevin and motioned for him to sit. "I swear at this point Im starting to think either the heavens are pushing you to me or you just really like seeing me." Laughing slightly she hopped it was both. Amy was one who didn't have a religion but if she did it was like the Greeks believed, that there were gods and goddesses. "Are you hungry?"

"The pleasure is mine." He said with a smile as he took Belle's hand and shook it.

Gracefully he slid into his seat as he watched Belle leave; turning back to face Amy again. "It must be. I was out on a walk to get to learn the city and I run across you. Someone or something is trying to keep us together." He laughed gently and shook his head. "No I just ate before leaving."

Kevin settled back into the chair; using the stance to move himself out of the direct sunlight. It was starting to make him itch where it was getting through the sunblock.

"Your looking at a girl who knows her way around." Amy said looking around the busy streets. "If they are pushing us together why not take advantage of it?" Grinning she stood, leaving money for the check, and offered Kevin her hand. Amy liked to walk around the city sometimes. Most of the time at night when there aren't a million people around. She liked being alone with the city. Amy didn't mind showing kevin around as she saw it as an excuse to spend time with him.

Kevin stood and smiled, offering her his elbow. "Well then, by all means my lady. Show me around your fair city."

As they headed off Kevins mind screamed at him that this wasn't nipping it in the bud and that he was going to be in hella trouble when it finally came out that he wasn't of Amy's world. Still, as he looked over at her he couldn't help but hope that things wouldn't be lost and that maybe....just maybe she was one of those woken that had a Vampire fetish. After all could one explain the popularity of Twilight?

((Not really a shot at Twilight, but more an observation. Alhtough personally, not that much of a fan))

Accepting his elbow Amy led him down the street pointing out shops that she thought he might like or she herself liked. The ice cream shop down the street was the best ever and she insisted he try it one day. Walking down the street one Kevins elbow made her smile.
"Now, this shop is my favorite." Amy said slowing them to a stop in front of an old book store. With a nudge she led them inside to the old books mixed with new.

Kevin smiled and drew in a breath; the smell of old book leather always one of his favorites. He let his fingers drift over the spines smiling at the cool feel. He'd been a book binder in one of his 'past lives' and every once in awhile he ran across one of his printings. In his personal library he had more than a few of his own and he flicked his eyes over the wore gilted lettering wondering if he was going to run across another one.

The feel of Amy on his arm had him feeling comfortable even if the dream from the wee hours of the morning had his head spinning. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye and he had to stop for a moment, Amy's clothes had transformed to a regency gown with her hair done up in an elegant style. He turned his head and blinked her normal clothes once more back to normal. He smiled and turned back to the books, pushing it to the back of his mind.

Picking up book after book Amy saw Kevin from the corner of her eye shaking his head and wondered what that was all about. She picked up and old book and looked at the spine, 'The Haning Witch'. Amy had never even heard of it and there was nothing on the back to explain it. With a curious glance to looked at Kevin who was wrapped into his own book hunting. "Do you know this book?" Amy asked showing it to him

Kevin turned and took the book from Amy, turning it over in his hands. It'd been ages since he'd seen that book and it brought back a smile. It wasn't one of his but it was one of his all time favorites.

"I've read it, it the first book I ever wrote a book report on in highschool. It's worth the read." He handed the book back to Amy with a smile before turning back to his hunting.

A deep red leather book stood out from the rest and he pulled it from the shelf. The lettering was half worn off but it was written in a twisting old lanuage. His eyes widened when he seen it; it was the first edition of the Vamprye's Creed. A book that was written jest by the first Vampires and printed as a spoof.

It had been done to push away inquires into their kind and it worked for years until a rogue Vampire had taken it into his hands to slaughter an entire village in his raging hunger. Kevin tucked the book under his arm and returned to browsing the books; the treasure not going to leave his side any time soon.

Leaving Kevin, Amy went up to the counter to pay. With a kind smile the man behind the ddesk took her book and rang her up. She waited patiently tapping her nails on the counter, liking the way her nail polish looked when light bounced off of it. The man was taking forever so Amy turned and studied Kevin. He had a grace about him that showed even as he went isle to isle. He also had an air of oldness to him. Not that he was old himself just that he had been around for a while.

"Your book." The clerk said behind her and with a kind smile Amy went back to kevin noticing the book under his arm. "Whats that Kev?" Amy asked curiously trying to see the title.

Kevin jumped a little; the quietness of the store had lulled into a trance like state and when it was broken it startled him. Chuckling a bit at his scare he took the book and held it up for Amy to see. The gilt lettering was worn away on almost every letter and the langauge itself was foreign so he didn't feel any worry about letting her see.

"It's a very old book of children's stories...and not the ending happily kind." He laughed a bit as he turned the book over; amazed at how it had faired over the years. "I've always had a love for the macob. I personally think Little Red Riding Hood deserved to be eaten and when she was saved later on in life it was a horrible misconstruction of the tale. It was told as a procautionary tale to keep children out of the woods, not that some stranger with an axe would come to your aid and save you.

"Of course some women like to feel helpless and want a big strong man to save them so it fits them to have it end that way. I perfer the stronger women myself; the ones that can slap a wolf around."

He laughed heartily and moved over to the counter, handing the older man the book and reaching into his pocket to pull out his wallet to pay for the tome. The man had years on him and at the same time he seemed beyond his years and out of centuries of good breeding and mannerisms Kevin refrained from showing his irration at his speed.

With a grin he took his reciept and his book and made a vow to come back and visit again to see what other treasures he might uncover in the dusty store. He turned to Amy and nodded his head towards the door.

"Ready to show me about your fair city some more?"

Kevins voice brought Amy back from spacing out. She was thinking about what he said about Red Riding Hood, personally she liked a mix of both. A woman should be able to hold her own but whats wrong with letting a man have to reins for a little? Jumping a little at his voice Amy chuckled at herself.

"Of course." Smiling Amy took his hand and led him down a little ways. Telling him little things about the stores they passed like the tattoo shop that did Amy's tattoo on her shoulder and such. Eventually they came to a place where they had to cross the street and not paying attention Amy stepped forward unthinking. A car whizzed by and she jumped out of the way just in time. "Damn drivers." she muttered before continuing on thier way.

Stopping in front of a clothing store Amy grinned. This was were she bought all her materials for making Johnnys and the others right attire. Still grinning she turned to Kevin. "While I have you lets get some fabric for your tights. Unless that was an excuse to see me?" With a wink she went into the shop not waiting for a reply and somehow feeling like he would follow

"Perhaps it was a little of both." He smiled before following her in.

The smell of a fabric store was unlike anything Kevin could ever remember and funnily enough it never changed very much over the course of time. Sure there wasn't as much leather scent to them any more but the under lying smell was still the same.

He gingerly touched the fabric as he looked over a rack of gaugy spandex and grinned. "Ok oh guru of sewing magic. I'm leaving the fate of my gear in your hands. You just tell me were and when and what you need me to do."
