"Of course I do. There are always apartments open in my building. I'm sure you could get a place there. And I know that with my word that you'll get a job at the club."

The rest of the walk went off without any trouble and he grinned as he lead the two vampires back to the back and explained things to his boss, giving him his best tale on the two and then leaving them there with him so that the man could decide and he could get the bar ready for the evening.

Jay and Frankie spent fifthteen minutes in the office before walking back out. "Well you were right, we got the jobs. We're starting to night on your shift, its a good thing we spent that year bartending in NYC." Jay nodded, "Yep."

Phil sat cleaning his tools, glancing up at the clock. He couldn't wait to go see Kevin at the bar.

Kevin made a mock face of horror as he started to put together the bottles that he served the most out of. He checked the glasses over to make sure they were clean before putting on his apron and opening the top few buttons on his shirt. He found that he made more in tips when he looked as if he wanted ravished by the drunk patrons, and when he made extra tips he spent a little more on the luxuries of life that were available this day in age.

With a towel over his shoulder he looked at Jay and Frankie. "Don't you two make me sorry that I put myself on the line for you. Act like normal men, and save any 'hunger' you have for later."

Frankie and Jay nodded, "We won't let you down Thorn and thank you again." Frankie said, "And don't worry the hunger won't be an issue... Jay still refuses to feed early in the night, he is still spooked about someone attacking....." Frankie added softly. Jay paused with a shiver from where he was setting up.

"Someone attacking? Who would that be?"

Kevin stopped what he was doing to pin his two friends with a stern look. He'd been in this city for a couple of months and so far he'd not had anyone come after him, but then he stayed to himself and had really only ran into a couple of other Vampires that came to the club from time to time. Kevins next worry was for Phil, he was an easier target then he and an unscrupulous vampire wouldn't think twice about attack a human mate of a fellow vampire.

"A few towns back this pig of a vamp attacked Jay...." Frankie answered softly. "Jay has been spooked ever since, thats why we were trying so hard to find you.... You always make Jay feel safer." Jay stayed quiet, working hard. Frankie sighed before adding, "It was Peter...."

Peter. Kevin raked his brain trying to remember the Vampire. He had a vague picture in his mind but he couldn't remember anything else about him.

"Well you're here now and I have a few friends that can keep their eyes and ears open for me. And I have a few favors I can call in if I have too."

Time to talk was scarce after that but in the back of his mind Kevin wondered if Phil was ok.

Phil smiled as he finished up for the night and grabbed his jacket, he couldn't wait to go see Kevin. He started to walk to the bar, smiling at the night air. As he got close to the bar he got the feeling of being followed, he looked around but didn't see anybody. He broke out into a nervous run and hurried into the bar, looking around for Kevin.

With lips pursed he stood listening to the arguing patrons that were trying to figure out what they were going to order. He smelled Phil before he seen him and just knowing that he was there made Phil smile. Moving towards the end of bar he stood watching the door and the milling people for any sign of Phil.

Phil looked around for Kevin before finally spotting him and starting to make his way up to the bar. He felt safer being about to see Kevin and he was starting to relax again. He smiled as he reached Kevin at the bar. "Hi Kev."

Frankie looked and spotted Phil, he watched to make sure he reached the bar okay. He wanted to make sure his friend's new lover was okay.

Kevin grinned and placed a glass on the bar and filled it with Pepsi. "Hey there yourself. Have a good day today?"

Even thoough Kevins attention was completely on Phil, his senses were casting around for any threat, to Frankie, Jay or Phil. They were part of his family now and he was going to protect them if he had to give his life to do so.

Phil smiled and nodded, "Yeah it was a pretty good day, got to work on this beautiful tattoo for this one girl." He said before taking a sip and continuing his story, he had nearly forgot the feeling of being followed he had felt on the way over.

Frankie smiled as he continued to work, but he keeped his eye on Jay watching to make sure that none of the many males that had been watching the blond decided to try anything. He gave a lowl growl as one of the men tried to grab for Jay's arm, but Jay moved quickly and said he had to work on a new order.

"Really? Where was this tattoo located? And did you make her lover jealous of the time you had to spend with your hands on her?" He was clearly joking, his eyes glitter with laughter as he leaned up and over the bar to kiss Phil on the lips soundly before pulling away with a grin. "Because I know that if someone as handsome as you were putting your hands on my lover I'd be pretty ticked off. Course...I guess I don't have to worry about that as you are my lover."

From the corner of his eye he watched as Jay moved out of the way of the handsy ppatron and he made his excuses before going over and taking the man aside with a growl.

"You don't touch the bar tenders. EVER. Now, if I catch you reacing over that bar again to molest one of my works, you'll be shitting that arm for the next week that's how far up your ass it'll be. Do you understand me?"

Phil smiled at his lovers joking before giving him another quick kiss. He watched as Kevin went to deal with the guy that had tried to bother Jay. He watched as Frankie made his way over to Jay and made sure the blond was ok, Frankie shot at death glare at the guy before focusing on jay again.

Kevin growled as he escorted the man out when he got loud, one of the bouncers standing behind him with his arms crossed over his chest. The man gave a few shouted threats but nothing else and once the man was on down the road Kevin returned to his post, leaning on the bar and looking at Phil.

"Sorry about that. Some rude people seem to want to actually make me work tonight." He smiled as he wiped at the bar, keeping an eye out on the milling bodies.
